Monday I went rock climbing in Boulder. Today I went white water rafting down Clear Creek.

I can’t believe it took me more than four years of college and a fuck-ton of loans to realize that all I want to do in life is be an outdoor adventure guide. Bawls.

The Hand of the Desert and Monument to the Drowned

Chilean sculptor Mario Irarrázabal has produced two giant hand sculptures located in strange places. The first hand sculpture, The Hand of the Desert, is located deep in the the Atacama desert in Chile. The hand was constructed at an altitude of 1,100 meters above sea level. The work has a base of iron and cement, and stands 11 meters tall. The second hand, Monument to the Drowned, is a sculpture of five fingers partially submerged in sand, located at Brava Beach in Punta del Este, Uruguay.

Punctuation Be Damned presents, “A Run-on Sentence.”

Today at work an attractive and beardly young mountain man with a top knot asked me to get him a pair of green Chacos and then if I was single and of course I said no because another wonderful beardly young fellow already has my heart but OH MY GOD having someone express polite interest just about made my heart seize up and it made me remember what blushing and endorphins feel like and isn’t it just wonderful to be reminded that even after a month of finals and self-loathing and stress and fucking everything up there are people who at the very least like the look of your cargo shorts/leather jacket/converse combo enough to say something that proves that you are capable of positive emotions?
